Good support starts with listening.
We take the time to understand your experiences, preferences, concerns and goals. We aim to provide support with patience, understanding and genuine compassion.
We don't believe people should have to repeatedly explain who they are or what matters to them. Building a strong relationship helps us provide support that feels comfortable, respectful and personal.
Your life, your choices and your dignity matter.
We respect each participant's individuality, privacy, culture, beliefs and personal preferences. We understand that the right way to support one person may not be the right way to support another.
Our role is to support you — not to take away your choices.
Support should help you become more confident and independent wherever possible.
We encourage participants to take an active role in their everyday lives, make their own decisions and develop skills that can support greater independence.
Sometimes empowerment means learning a new skill. Sometimes it means trying something independently for the first time. And sometimes it simply means having the right person beside you when you need support.
We are here to help you move forward at your own pace.
